My name is Glenn Shelton and I am a eighteen year veteran teacher. Most teachers retire after thirty years of service so I am a "Mid-Life Teacher". Society and education are in a process of transformation in part to the invention of Web 2.0 tools. Many teachers at eighteen years have a tendency to turn a blind eye to the changes around them and continue doing what they have always done. Not me! Hello everyone and welcome to the ponderings of a mid-life teacher, ME! Life is changing so quickly causing confusion trying to figure ways to reach the students that enter my classroom. I know my students love to create things and the Internet. Therefore, I have embraced the use of Web 2.0 tools. Welcome and follow me as I make changes for my students!
It is so refreshing to see a veteran teacher such as yourself with such a positive attitude towards technology and lunging your students froward. Not only are you embracing the challenge with open arms, but you are taking the challenge by charge. I hope that your colleagues are noticing your transformation and are inspired to do the same. I truly look forward to hearing what you are doing with your students and how their learning is changing because of what you are doing. Your insight is a breath of fresh air and I am glad that I am on this journey with you!
